Privacy Policy

This policy is a draft being prepared before the service launches. The effective date will be finalized and posted at launch.

Petnyang does not send your photos, videos, or voice to our servers. Pet creation and motion recognition are, in principle, processed only on your device, and your data is stored on your device. However, to operate and improve the service, we collect a minimal amount of statistical information such as a device identifier, app version, and country (see Section 2).

1. General

Ehotraders (the “Company”) values the privacy of users of “Petnyang” (the “Service”) and complies with applicable laws. This policy explains what information the Company handles and how.

2. Information We Collect and How We Process It

• Photos & videos: Photos and videos you select for pet creation are processed only on your device (e.g., subject extraction) and saved as pet images. They are not transmitted to the Company’s servers.
• Voice: When you use voice commands or voice input for chat, audio is used solely to recognize those commands or inputs. Voice recognition may be processed through the speech-recognition feature provided by your device’s operating system, in which case that operating system’s or provider’s policy applies. The Company does not separately store voice recordings.
• Chat messages: When you use the AI chat feature, the messages you type are sent to and processed by an AI processing provider (Google) to generate replies. The Company does not keep your chat messages in a separate store, sell them, or use them for advertising. To make replies feel natural, some information you share (such as a name) is stored on your device and may be sent along when generating a reply.
• Data stored on your device: Pets, actions, settings, and similar data are stored in your device’s internal storage.
• Device identifier & usage statistics: To operate and improve the Service, we collect an install identifier, a device identifier value (a one-way hash of a device-unique value), the app version, and country, and store them in the cloud infrastructure the Company uses. This is used only for statistical purposes such as measuring active devices and version distribution, and is not sold to third parties. Content such as photos, videos, voice, and chat is not included in these statistics.
• App install/usage events (ad performance measurement): To measure advertising effectiveness, the Company sends app install and launch events to Meta Platforms via its SDK. This is limited to ad performance measurement and does not include content such as photos, videos, voice, or chat.

3. Permissions

The Service uses the following permissions only to the extent needed to perform its functions.

• Display over other apps (overlay): Needed to show your pet on screen over other apps.
• Notifications: Used to display the status of the foreground service that keeps your pet running.
• Microphone: Used for voice command and chat voice-input recognition. You can still use the other features if you decline it.
• Photos & media access: Used to create pets from the photos and videos you select.

4. Third Parties and Processing on Our Behalf

The Company does not sell your personal information to third parties. The Company entrusts processing to, or transmits information to, the following providers solely for the purposes below.

• Storage of the device identifier and usage statistics — cloud infrastructure provider (Supabase)
• Generating AI chat replies — Google (transmission and processing of chat messages)
• Ad performance measurement — Meta Platforms (transmission of app install/launch events)

Apart from processing incidental to the use of basic operating-system features such as speech recognition, if any other provision to or entrustment with a third party arises, we will reflect it in this policy and notify you in advance.

5. Retention and Deletion

Data stored on your device is deleted when you delete it within the app or uninstall the app. The Company keeps no separate personal information on its servers (as of the MVP).

6. Your Rights

You can view, edit, and delete your own pets, actions, and data directly within the app. For any other questions or requests regarding personal information, please use the contact below.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not primarily intended for children under 14, and the Company does not knowingly collect children’s personal information.

8. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be revised in line with changes to laws or the Service. When revised, the Company will give advance notice of the effective date and the changes on the Service or website (petnyang.com).
